Europe–Asia Football Development

A European professional club was looking to develop an international structure that would bring its expertise, methodology and development knowledge to football organisations in strategic Asian markets.

The project aimed to build long-term relationships with clubs, academies, universities and other institutions, combining technical development, coach education and international player pathways.

The objective was to build a sustainable collaboration model that could be adapted to different markets and extend beyond individual activities.

Each Asian organisation had different needs, so the programme needed to combine local training, experiences in Europe, coach development, talent identification and support throughout the season.

EFC acted as a strategic and operational bridge between Europe and Asia, identifying opportunities and suitable partners, adapting the collaboration model to each market and coordinating relationships between the organisations involved.

EFC also contributed to the sporting and commercial structure of the programmes and to defining how each relationship could develop over the medium and long term.

The project established a structured and scalable model for Europe–Asia collaboration, designed to accommodate different organisations and stages of development.

The model enables programmes of up to a full season, combining assessment, technical training, international experiences, talent development and continuous support, extending the relationship beyond individual camps or visits.

This structure also allows the model to be replicated across Asian markets, maintaining a common methodology while adapting each programme to the needs of the local partner.
